LAMP: Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP

What is LAMP?:
LAMP stands for Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP. If you talk to a perl or python programmer they may tell you the P stands for one of those languages. Regardless of your choice of “P”, LAMP is a server software bundle. All of the components are free and open source.
And we call it…. LAMP?:
The term LAMP was coined in 1998 in a German software magazine by Michael Kunze, and it has stuck!
